EAPO joined the WIPO Digital Access Services

Therefore, when filing with the EAPO and claiming priority of the earlier application available to the DAS system, it is sufficient for the applicant to provide the access code to the priority application in WIPO/DAS instead of a certified copy thereof.

Applicants can deposit their applications to DAS through the International Bureau of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) or any other IP Office available for depositing such applications to WIPO/DAS. The Eurasian Patent Office, in its turn, only deposits Eurasian patent applications filed directly with the EAPO or through national offices of the Contracting Parties to the Eurasian Patent Convention. For this purpose, the applicant has to file a special request and pay the corresponding fee.
