Pilot Prosecution Highway program between EAPO and KIPO

The Pilot Prosecution Highway (PPH) program between the Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO) and the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) will come in force on January 1, 2019.

The main benefit of the PPH is the accelerated procedure of patent procedure. It occurs when the one contracting patent office takes into consideration the results of the examination for patentability of the corresponding Patent Office. This program saves applicant's time and reduces the costs for the procedure.

The agreement will last for 3 years and can be extended by the Parties. Please note that official fee for conducting the substantive examination under PPH Program is not stipulated.
