The 11th edition of the ICGS came into force on January 1, 2020

The new edition of the International Classification of Goods and Services, created in accordance with the Nice Agreement (on June 15, 1957), entered into force on January 1, 2020. The new version of the ICGS includes more than 300 changes and additions to class headings, a list of goods and services, as well as implementation of new terms and class headings.

A list of all the innovations is available in the table below.

It should be noted that there is no need to amend the list of goods and services in previously registered trademarks and trademark applications with a filing date earlier than January 1, 2020.
