New Law on Copyright and Related Rights in Moldova

The Law “On Copyright and Related Rights” was adopted in the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova on July 28, 2022. This law is similar to the European legislation in the field of copyright and is directed to ensure high standards of the management of this IP type.

It is assumed, that the adopted Law will solve the problem of copyright protection by building a balanced system. This will be favorable ground for creating different types of piece of arts, with a further opportunity for authors to protect their rights.

The law will enter into force within one month after its publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Moldova.
