Increase of fees in Kazakhstan

Starting from July 1, 2024, official fees for expert services for the registration of trademarks, service marks, geographical indications and appellations of origin of goods have been increased in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The main fees that have changed are:

• for acceptance of application and examination for registration of TM for legal entities increased to 113750 tenge, 85312.50 for SMEs, and 79625 for individuals;
• for renewal of trademark, service mark, collective trademark, well-known trademark and publication of information on renewal - 182146 tenge for legal entities, 136609,50 for small and medium-sized businesses, and 127502,20 for individuals;
• for preliminary search - from 1750 to 162400 tenge depending on the object and speed of the search.

Most of the official fees relating to trademarks, service marks, geographical indications and appellations of origin have undergone increase of approximately 25%. These changes affected both legal entities and individuals, as well as small and medium-sized businesses.
