Increase in official fees in Tajikistan

January 7, 2026

As of January 1, 2026, Tajikistan has increased the calculation indicator, which is used as a base value for determining the amounts of state duties, fines, taxes, social benefits, and other mandatory payments. These changes are stipulated by the Law on the State Budget for 2026.

Under the new rules, the calculation indicator has been raised from 75 to 78 somoni. Since state duties, including those related to intellectual property, are directly linked to this base value, the increase results in higher official fees and payments.

Consequently, from 2026 the cost of procedures related to the registration and protection of intellectual property rights in Tajikistan will increase. This applies to the filing of applications, examination procedures, and the maintenance of IP rights in force.

In light of these changes, we recommend verifying the applicable state duties and the total cost of procedures in advance, taking into account the updated calculation indicator. Our specialists are ready to prepare a detailed cost breakdown and propose optimal solutions for the registration and protection of intellectual property rights in Tajikistan, as well as in any other country in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
